Use Templates

Using templates is a way to extract data from inbound pdf files and populate form fields. The template creator allows you to map data on the pdf and assign that data to text fields on the form.

 

When a task with templates enabled is used, the data will be retrieved from the pdf based on the template and inserted into the form fields.

 

For Accounts Payable Automation you can template your suppliers invoices to the AP form, and when the invoice arrives into the mailbox the task will extract the data, populate the form fields and pass it to the user to action. This is the same for all types of automated input tasks. Of course, if you don't want to use templates you can still use the task but manually insert the data into the form.

In the case of Delivery type tasks you can template your own delivery document and it will follow the same process.

You can use templates for any type of task where you need to automatically fill forms based on extracted data from pdf.
