Print to Task
NoeoDocs Print to Task is a Windows application that you download and install. The application can be installed on either a Windows PC or Windows Server.
In the application's user interface, you can download the task flows that are a type of 'Print' and this will automatically create the printers on the installed computer. Then you simply print from any application to the printers and the output will be saved on the NeoDocs server as an attachment and a task queue created. If the task queue is using templates, the relevant template is applied and the data is extracted from the attachment to populate the form.
You can use the Print to Task application to print documents directly from any host system such as your accounting system, ERP, as well as non Windows applications like Unix, Linux or AS400. The print output can also be sent from desktop applications like Office.
The Task to Print application can be installed within your organisation and it can also be installed externally. Being external means that you can allow other companies to print directly to your task flows, no apis' or programming needed.
These are some examples of how the Print to Task can be used
Deliveries - Print you delivery document directly from your accounting system. The task flow would use a static template because the document is always the same. When the delivery document is printed a task queue is created, and then the data is extracted which populates the form. That delivery is now available as a queued task on both the web application and the mobile application.
Work Orders - A company primarily receives work orders from 2 customers. Each of those customers would install Print to Task and print the work orders directly to your task flow. As soon as they print, a queued task with the printed output is available to you in both the web application and mobile application.
